We have recently become TDS accredited. This allows our Inventory clerks and coordinators to further understand the deposit return process. This is important as it allows us to produce our Inventories and check out reports in a more streamlined way, which in return will save the property manager and landlord crucial time when making deposit returns. Our methods have now been tweaked so that they sync with the TDS adjudicators.  Unfortunately, there are over 60% of check out reports in the UK that end up going to adjudication. Fortunately for us, our Inventory clerks are highly trained which reduces the risk of disagreement.

It is crucial for reports both Inventory and Check out to be fair, easy to read, and have clear and precise photos to prove each defect. The reports should focus on easy user interfaces.

What do you do if you are unhappy with an adjudication decision?

TDS - Impartial and accountable dispute resolution

At TDS, they are committed to delivering quick, fair and impartial decisions in the many deposit disputes they deal with each year. They recognise that, weather dealing with an adjudication or complaint about one, the nature of dispute resolution is inherently contentious. To carry out a resolve effectvely, their customers must have confidence that TDS will consider their case on its merits, and the impartial judgement will be brought to bear.
